BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) – Israeli forces demolished a water well in Al-Khader village in Bethlehem on Monday.

The well belongs to farmer Muhammad Issa and his brothers. He told Ma’an that he checked his land on Wednesday and his farm and it was all fine but when he arrived Monday the well was demolished and his farm was destroyed.

The farmer was surprised when he saw his farm in a large mess and stones thrown inside the water well. He added that he saw papers thrown all over his land and near the well along with orders written by Israeli officials in Hebrew.

In a separate incident, a well in Al-Khader was demolished belonging to Khalil Muhammad Salah.

Khalil said that the well was important for his crops and now it is gone.

He said attacks on wells and other agriculture equipment were causing big problems for farmers.
