Ellomay Capital, the energy company under the control of Shlomo Nehama, Ran Fridrich and Hemi Raphael, which was been traded over the counter, is to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Monday.

Ellomay Capital’s Investments include several solar farms in Italy, the Dorad power station in Israel, and agreements for the acquisition of gas and oil exploration licenses in the Mediterranean Sea.

Ran Fridrich told Calcalist that “the company’s current activity is on three levels: Firstly, the income producing photo-voltaic fields – we currently operate 10 megawatts in Italy and are examining other countries such as Canada and the US in which we are expecting to sign additional agreements.

“This is supposed to be the company’s cash generator which will enable us to make mid-term investments without having to depend too much on the capital market.

“Secondly, we are active in the field of gas fueled power stations; we are partners in the Dorad station through Dor Energy and we are exploring additional activities in the field of gas-fueled clean power stations in Israel and abroad.

“Our third field of activity is currently an optional initiative for oil and gas prospecting offshore Israel. We received a tentative approval for four licenses which are not as of yet official. Once we gain an official permit we will initiate our oil exploration enterprise.”
