EcoPeace Middle East in association with Herbert Smith Freehills, theFTWeekend and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung cordially invite you to Promoting Middle East Water & Energy Security Through Investment in a Water-Renewable Energy Exchange for Peace & Stability.

Water-Energy Nexus, is an ambitious project between Jordan, Palestine and Israel where energy generated from renewable sources in Jordan will be exchanged for desalinated water from the Israeli and Palestinian Mediterranean coast. This exchange has the potential to better the livelihood and increase the water and energy security of millions, to create new sustainable business opportunities across borders, and to foster interdependent political cooperation in these related fields.

The event will focus on the findings of a pre-feasibility study conducted by EcoPeace Middle East and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) that analyzes the technical, economic and geopolitical aspects of the Water-Energy Nexus and will include a panel discussion on the opportunities and challenges ahead.

EcoPeace co-directors Ms. Nada Majdalani, Palestinian, Mr. Gidon Bromberg, Israeli and Mr. Munqeth Meyhar, Jordanian will present the results of the study. An expert panel discussion will follow moderated by Pilita Clark, award winning journalist of the Financial Times.
