Luxor governorate has launched President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s campaign “Shabab fi Hob Misr” (Youth and Love in Egypt) on Wednesday to plant one million fruit trees as part of a plan to develop Luxor city.

Head of Luxor City Ayman al-Sherif said that the campaign would plant the trees in al-Mattar district during the first stage and then go to the rest of Luxor city.

Sherif said that the garden trees would help reduce pollution and increase Luxor City’s beauty.

Forbes published a new travel article on Sunday further cementing Luxor as a promising tourism destination. Titled “Everything You Need to Know to Plan an Incredible Trip to Egypt”, the article focuses on Southern Egyptian tourism destinations such as Luxor by citing some of their best tourism sites, hotels and cruise options.
