The factory will convert the raw material of agricultural and industrial wastes into high-quality alternative fuel including diesel, mazut and gas.

The factory’s production will reach 400,000 tons of alternative fuel directed to the Lafarge Cement factory in Ain Sokhna city.

Executive Manager of Lafarge Egypt Company Hussein Mansi said, “We believe that [Geocycle for waste management] is part of the solution . . . we invested LE200 million to rationalize our consumption of fossil foil and contribute to the sustainability of natural resources for future generations.”

Geocycle is a leading provider of industrial, agricultural and municipal waste management services worldwide. It applies the proven technology of ‘co-processing’ and utilizes existing facilities in the cement industry to manage more than 10 million tons of waste annually.
