AMMAN — The Energy Ministry is implementing two projects to establish solar power plants with a capacity of 10 gigawatt hours per year, funded by the Spanish government, the ministry’s spokesperson, Haidar Gammaz, said Sunday.

The first project (2.17 megawatts) costs JD3.5 million and is being conducted through a debt swap agreement with the Spanish government, Gammaz said.

The second project (3 megawatts) costs around JD6 million and is being conducted through a soft loan, he added.
