AMMAN — HRH Princess Sumaya, president of the board of governors of the Amman-based Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia Technology Centre, on Sunday headed the sixth meeting of the board, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

During the meeting, attendees showcased the recommendations of the technical committee and discussed endorsing a work plan to schedule the centre’s activities in the next two years.

During the meeting, attended by representatives of 16 Arab countries, Princess Sumaya stressed the importance of scientific research for comprehensive and sustainable development, which also requires the support of the private sector in terms of financing and cooperation.
