The Mediterranean region is experiencing a wide range of far-reaching social, political and economic transformations and growing economic potentialities. Despite its many economic opportunities, the Mediterranean has a lot still to overcome. Some economic, social and environmental challenges are more relevant and urgent than ever before.
To overcome these development obstacles and build a shared and sustainable future for all the region’s people, anincreasingly clear action and commitments is requiered from businesses in partnership with the public sector and civil society.
Under the slogan “A need for action” the 10th MedaWeek edition will offer a unique platform to explore the business opportunities of competitive industries, which generate productive and sustainable employment and are considered as drivers for economic growth and regional development. During the three-day event a wide range of forums will offer the opportunity to share best practices and experiences, propose concrete projects and create new business opportunities.
The 1st MEDA Water Forum will be held within the 10th Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders in order to maximise networking opportunities, to increase the profile of the sector and express diversity within all other forums’ sectors. http://www.medaeconomicweek.org/programme2016/1st-mediterranean-water-forum/
